IN LIGHT OF AFRICA
OVERVIEW
In May 2006 I returned to Africa. My plan was to return to Zambia but instead went to South Africa with 12 volunteers from Westside King’s Church where we dedicated three weeks of our summer to work with our partners, Hands At Work. We stayed at their base in White River at the Africa School of Missions, and ventured out each day into the nearby communities of Masoyi (where Hands originated care for the vulnerable, sick and dying, and has successfully supported thousands of people over the past ten years), and Cork where they are in the beginning stages of setting up the same model of care. continue
